God has called me to be an evangelist. The main verse He used is Isaiah 49:6b which reads, “I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.” Acts 13:47 quotes, “For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.”
1. My burden is to preach the gospel to unreached people and see them get saved! My heart is broken about people on their way to hell, and I want to spend my life leading as many people to Christ as possible! Romans 15:20 reads, “Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation.” The public schools are a special heartbeat of mine because so many young people do not know about Christ!
2. My burden is to see people added to the church like in Acts 2. Acts 2:41 reads, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” Verse 47 reads, “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” We pray that God uses us to see people join Bible-believing, fundamental, independent, local New Testament Baptist churches!
3. My burden is to see believers become soul-winners. Matthew 28:18-20 is still in the Bible, reading, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” If believers are not trying to win souls, then they are out of God’s will!
4. My burden is to see believers learn to live the Spirit-filled life. I am still learning this myself, but what God has taught me so far is life-changing! We need to learn how to depend on Christ, grow in faith, and look to God to work in our lives! John 15:4 reads, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
As a young boy, I got saved when I called upon Jesus Christ and trusted Him to save me from my sin and hell! God burdened my heart to preach at age 17. I graduated from Bible college with a Pastoral Ministries degree and music minor in 2007. I stayed to get 3 Masters degrees: Bible Exposition, Educational Administration, and Master of Divinity. Since the summer of 2005, God allowed me to travel as an evangelist, and I have been able to travel preaching camps, youth rallies, and VBS’. I traveled full-time as an associate evangelist with Evangelist Dave Young for over 3 years. During that time, I met Joy. Joy and I were married in April 2011. In 2012, God called us to travel full-time on our own! God gives me the privilege to preach and do illusions for many people almost every week! I have been performing illusions for well over 15 yrs in front of over 150,000 people! The illusions have opened a door for a public school ministry. Through these contacts, God has allowed us to see thousands of people saved! My wife and I serve God together in evangelism along with our special needs son, our 2 daughters, and our other son. My life verse is II Corinthians 12:9.
I grew up in a small mountain town in Pennsylvania. I was privileged to be taught the Gospel from an early age, and when I was four years old, I asked Jesus to save me from my sins and trusted Him as my personal Savior! I am so thankful to my godly parents for the “goodly heritage” I have been given. They instilled in me a desire to serve the Lord and fulfill His will for my life. Growing up in the ministry, I got involved in almost every ministry opportunity our church had, and I loved it! I spent my teenage and early adult years soulwinning several times a week, working a bus route, serving as our church pianist, and teaching a Wednesday night girls class. I loved every minute of it! In 2008, I went to Fiji to serve with some missionaries there for two months. When I returned, I continued serving in my home church until I married David in 2011! I am living my dream – traveling in evangelism with the most wonderful man in the world and serving the Lord together with our family! I am so blessed!
We do not set aside or undervalue any other doctrine of the Bible, but the knowledge, belief, and practice of the truths as stated in this Statement of Faith we deem necessary for co-laboring with Pastors and local churches. The following is an abridgment of the church doctrinal statement of Christchurch Baptist Fellowship where we are members:
The Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, was written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. It is inerrant and infallible in its original manuscript which is to be taken as verbally inspired. The Bible is perfectly preserved in the text known as Textus Receptus, Received, from which the Authorized King James Version of the Bible is translated. It reveals the principles by which God judges us; and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. The criterion by which the Bible is to be interpreted is Jesus Christ. (II Tim. 3:16; Prov. 30:5; Heb. 4:12)
There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence and obedience. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (John 4:24; Psalm 83:18)
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. (Matt. 6:9; John 16:28)
Christ is the eternal Son of God. Jesus Christ is God of very God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself the demands and necessities of human nature and identifying Himself completely with mankind, yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, partaking of the nature of God and of man, and in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord. (Heb. 13:8; John 14:6; Acts 4:12)
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination, He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Saviour, and effects regeneration. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the Christian is the assurance of God to bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service. (John 16:13; John 16:8)
Man was created by the special act of God, in His own image, and is the crowning work of His creation. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Through the temptation of Satan, man transgressed the command of God and fell from his original innocence, whereby his posterity inherit a nature and an environment inclined toward sin, and as soon as they are capable of moral action become transgressors and are under condemnation. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God. The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image and in that Christ died for man; therefore, every man possesses dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love. (Gen. 1:27; Gen. 3:6-24; Rom. 5:12; Rom. 5:19)
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense, salvation includes regeneration, sanctification, and glorification. (Heb. 9:14,22)
A work of God’s grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith are inseparable experiences of grace. Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. Faith is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and commitment of the entire personality to Him as Lord and Saviour. Justification brings the believer into a relationship of peace and favor with God. (Luke 13:3,5; Rom. 4:5; Rom. 3:24,25)
The experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God’s purposes and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual perfection through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. Growth in grace should continue throughout the regenerate person’s life. (I Cor. 1:30)
The culmination of salvation and the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.
All true believers endure to the end. Those whom God has accepted in Christ and sanctified by His Spirit will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end. Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation whereby they grieve the Spirit, impair their graces and comforts, bring reproach on the cause of Christ and temporal judgments on themselves, yet they shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. (II Tim. 1:8-9; John 6:37; Psalm 89:30-34)
A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the two ordinances of Christ, committed to His teachings, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. This church is an autonomous body, operating through democratic processes under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. In such a congregation, members are equally responsible. Its Scriptural officers are pastors and deacons. The church, which is Christ’s body, includes the redeemed, blood-washed ones and will be called out when Christ comes again for His own. (I Tim. 3:15; Heb. 12:23)
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience, symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church mem¬bership and to the Lord’s Supper. (Rom. 6:3-6) The Lord’s Supper is a sym¬bolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming. (I Cor. 11:24-28)
The first day of the week is the Lord’s Day. It is a Christian institution for regular observance. It commemorates the resurrection of Christ from the dead and should be employed in exercises of worship and spiritual devotion, both public and private, and by refraining from worldly amusements and resting from secular employments, work of necessity and mercy only being excepted. (Heb. 10:25; Acts. 20:7)
According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. After the judgments of God upon this sinful world in the Great Tribulation, Jesus our Lord will come with His saints to establish His millennial kingdom. Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The redeemed of Christ, in their resurrected and glorified bodies, will receive their rewards and will dwell in Heaven forever with their Saviour. The unsaved will be separated from the Kingdom of God and will be consigned forever to a place of everlasting perdition. (I Thes. 4:16-18; I Cor. 15:51-52)
It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The new birth of man’s spirit by God’s Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others. Missionary efforts on the part of all rests, thus, upon a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life, and is expressly and repeatedly commanded in the teachings of Christ. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by personal effort and by all other methods in harmony with the Gospel of Christ. (John 4:35; Matt. 28: 18-20)
God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are we owe to Him. Christians have a spiritual debtorship to the whole world, a holy trusteeship in the Gospel, and a binding stewardship in their posses¬sions. They are therefore under obligation to serve Him with their time, tal¬ents, and material possessions, and should recognize all these as entrusted to them to use for the glory of God and for helping others. According to the Scriptures, Christians should contribute of their means cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately, and liberally for the advancement of the Redeemer’s cause on earth. The tithe is to be considered the starting place of Christian stewardship. (I Cor. 4:2; 1 Cor. 16:2; II Cor. 9:7)
I recommend David Corn, one hundred per cent, without any reservations whatsoever. David is as honorable and upright young preacher I know. He has no peer in evangelism when it comes to reaching people for Christ who is more effective than he. Joy is the epitome of the Proverbs 31 lady and her skill as a pianist is a great compliment to her husband. I love this couple. David has preached in our pulpit with results. We love the Corns! We count it a blessing from God to have them in our church as members. There is not a more dedicated couple to Christ in our church than David and Joy. We saw over 50 salvations and had over 200 first time visitors. It was truly an amazing and captivating event. Our church was not just blessed, but amazed by the presentation and the turnout from local teens and children. It made a lasting impact on our church and I would have David back many times over! Phenomenal was the first word that came to my mind. God truly used David and his presentation to present the gospel of Jesus Christ. The response to the gospel was a blessing to the church. He gets my highest recommendation!
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you…” That is the reply I give each time I am asked about how God used Evangelist David Corn in Colville, WA. The Lord opened up 8 local schools for David to do presentations and we handed out over 2000 tickets to the Thursday night rally at First Baptist Church. We crammed 650 people into a 300 seat sanctuary, and still had to turn others away. 44 individuals accepted Christ as their Savior, and 10 others trusted Christ throughout the week. Not only were the illusions impressive, but the power of God is resting on David Corn’s preaching ministry. I highly recommend David and Joy Corn and the ministry of Magic and Morality
I want to share with you how God worked through the Magic and Morality of Evangelist David Corn…. 39 saved! 10 saved were ages from ages 7 to 12 and 29 saved were ages 13 through adults and still we are getting results! These were not raise your hand and repeat after me salvations, each person had to get up out of their seat go to the back of the auditorium, get a counselor and be dealt with. . . . I can’t recommend David and his wife Joy enough. They have a godly, serving and separated attitude that is not found much any more. Their desire to serve and help is very refreshing. They have the best of standards, their music talent is outstanding, his preaching is right on and their salvation message at the Magic and Morality programs is so simple and direct and very effective. . . . His magic is very professional and as good as anything you will find at Branson. . . . He knows how to help you prepare for the program, as he has excellent tools and check list to help you prepare for a great ministry. Most of all they are true Fundamental Baptist. As you can see I am excited about what happened in Holton and want it to happen for others.
Evangelist David Corn has served with our revival ministry for almost three years and in that time has put together a simple and powerful ministry that helps local churches have an impact on the public school teens of our generation. David, who is both an accomplished illusionist and an experienced youth evangelist, conducts assemblies in public schools that combine magic tricks (illusions) with a morality talk on a variety of issues. David combines those assemblies with local church youth rallies and invites each student to attend. Our church recently held a Magic and Morality rally with Evangelist David Corn, and we were amazed at how the Lord worked. Bro. Corn performed a very impressive illusions show and then the gospel was clearly and boldly preached. At the end of the evening, eleven young people were personally dealt with and trusted Christ. I whole-heartedly recommend Evangelist Corn and this great tool for youth evangelism.
Dave Corn is one of the finest youth speakers in this country. His skill of using illusions are like none I have ever seen. The Lord opened the door for Bro Corn to speak and perform in four public and two private schools. . . . He spoke to well over three thousand students and it all climaxed with a huge rally at our church the following Wednesday night. Well over three hundred attended and at the end of the service forty- seven young people and two adults asked the Lord to be their Savior. The following Sunday, a mother who had gotten saved in this service, brought her 17 year old daughter and she received Christ as her Lord and Savior. Our church is still talking about these great services! In the day we live, you have to be very careful who you bring into your ministry. Dave and Joy Corn are a fine Christian couple with impeccable Christian character and values. I highly recommend them to all churches desiring to reach our public schools for Christ.
We couldn’t have been more pleased or blessed than we were with David Corn and his Magic and Morality program. The magic act was impressive and presented with great humor and feeling. The message that David shared was not only life changing, but presented dynamically. I will not soon forget what God did that night through one of his great men, David Corn.
I cannot recommend Brother David and his wife, Joy, enough. . . . We staged a large youth rally on Friday night with 500 young people in attendance. David put on a riveting show for one solid hour and after the message we saw a dozen teenagers trust Christ. If you are trying to reach into the public schools in your area, Brother David has an extremely effective way of accomplishing this. Book them ASAP!
Chicago area public schools are in no way friendly to Christians. We prayed for God to open a door to our area public schools, and He answered. We spoke to a middle school principal, and she said, “We are having an epidemic of cheating at the school. We need Magic and Morality. You may present your program to each lunch hour, table by table.” Praise the Lord! A couple of dozen young people came to Magic and Morality held at our church from that school, and we saw just over half a dozen make professions of faith.
Last summer our church had the privilege of hosting the ministry of Evangelist Corn for a three evening “Magic and Morality” conference. We found that unchurched families are looking for wholesome activities to take their children. Those that came the first night kept coming each night. They wanted to see and hear him again! In fact, several invited other families to attend! For us, it is unusual to have visitors invite other visitors! I was pleased with how Evangelist Corn transitioned from performing illusions and then appropriately guided the minds of the audience into a clear Gospel message. He and his wife are excellent in their individual counseling with those who respond to the preaching. I did not personally know Evangelist Corn before the conference. During the week he was with us, I became impressed with his character, godliness and passion for the Gospel. I highly recommend any pastor to consider using Evangelist Corn as a possible outreach ministry.
